I provide independent script consultancy for producers and production companies developing feature films and selected television projects. I offer a clear outside perspective on the screenplay: what works, what does not, why, and what can be done about it.
I combine close, conceptual analysis of the screenplay with first-hand experience of the filmmaking process. My involvement often continues from script development to the set and into the edit, giving me a practical understanding of how decisions made on the page translate into the finished film. I work from treatment through to advanced drafts, in English, Polish and German.
I studied film directing at the Wajda School in Warsaw and hold an MSt in Creative Writing from the University of Oxford, where I am completing a doctorate in film and architecture. My research examines how cinematic images create and communicate meaning, and how image, space, and narrative work together in film. I have worked on feature films in Poland and the UK, including several collaborations with director Wojciech Smarzowski. My consulting work has focused on feature films in professional development and production, alongside experience in writers' rooms.
